D'ARCY DOES IT AGAIN!

Trainer Mick D'Arcy's charm continues to keep the ladies in a winning mood as Castle Princess continued her undefeated reign in the Distance Classic.  Her kennelmate Greys Touch Gold also won her heat giving D'Arcy kennel all the round three points to keep his ladies in the top two spots as they head into semifinal rounds Wednesday night.

D'Arcy's three previous Distance Classic's were won by females. D'Arcy, arguably, has the best two contenders in the series. What a dream team! A blazing breaker (Castle Princess) and a phenomenal finisher (Greys Touch Gold). The ladies will be the ones to beat in the stakes final Saturday night April 5.

D'Arcy's dolls can breathe easy as their points guarantee them a post in the stakes final. The other entries will have to earn their slots on Wednesday.  The Distance Classic defender Flyin Bridgeport was crowded early and had to settle for fourth place points.  He is currently in third place but will need to rebound with a better finish Wednesday to seek a back-to-back title.

While D'Arcy won both heats, Filipelli & O'Donnell kennel scored both sets of second place points.  Hallo Arouser gave a stakes winning effort when he came from last place to just miss by a head to Castle Princess. Greys Blak Smith ran third followed by Fly Bye Popstar, WW Waffle Crisp, Ucme Fastromance, NMS Jewel Julie and Turbo Penske in race six.

Race ten saw Kay Buffalo Bill "beat the box" but not the the strong strides of Greys Touch Gold. Oshkosh Timer, Flyin Bridgeport, Gotta Havedreams, Rainingonsunday, Phenomenal Dream and Designer Angel completed the field.

Below are the greyhounds in point order.  The semifinal draw will be held Monday morning in the Racing office and will be posted shortly thereafter.
